Vegetarian Keema Curry Recipe

Here is a recipe for Soya Keema curry.

Ingredients

  1. 1 tbsp of ghee
  2. 3 tbsp of oil
  3. 1 tsp of mustard seeds
  4. 1 tsp of cumin seeds
  5. 2 dried chillis
  6. 1 cinnamon stick
  7. 1 large onion – finely chop
  8. 2 garlic cloves – crushed
  9. thumb sized ginger – crushed
  10. 1 fresh green chilli – finely chop
  11. 2 tsp of dried cumin and coriander
  12. 2 tsp of turmeric
  13. 1 tsp of garam masala
  14. 400 grams of Quorn mince
  15. 200 grams of peas
  16. 2 tbsp of tomato puree
  17. 3 tsp of salt
  18. 1 cup of hot water

Method

Add the ghee and oil to a large warm frying pan, until the ghee has melted. Add the mustard seeds and heat till the seeds pop, then add the dried chillis, cinnamon stick and onions. Cook and stir until the onions are soft and translucent. Add the garlic, ginger and chilli and mix for 2 mins. Then add the cumin & coriander, turmeric, garam masala and Quorn mince to pan. Cook and stir for 3 minutes. Add the tomato puree, peas, salt and hot water, mix well. Add the water and leave to simmer for 10 to 15 minutes.
